Came to be heard this the 13th day of February, 2006, with a motion made
by Commissioner Nicholson, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin. The
Court unanimously approved by vote of 3-0-0 to:
Appoint to two-year terms on the Kerr County Emergency Services District
Number 1 the following: Kenneth Wood, Donald Oehler, and Mrs. Jo Ann
Varner.

Dear Mr. Nicholson,
At the January 16, 2006 meeting of Kerr County Emergency Services District No. 1, we
discussed our recommendations to Kerr County Court for your appointment as 2006
Emergency Service District No. 1 Commissioners. We offer the following for your
consideration.
First, existing Commissioners John Hawkins and James Damon, who have another year
le$ on their two year terms, aze willing to continue their service.
Second, Commissioners Kenneth Wood and Donald Oehler, whose two years were
completed in December 2005, aze willing to serve for another two years and aze
recommended for appointment by you.
Third, our Treasurer for the twelve past years, Mr. Brace Bond, does not wish to be
reappointed for 2006/2007 and needs to be replaced by the County Court. We would like
to recommend Mrs. Jo Ann Varner of Ingram, Texas as Mr. Bond's replacement. She is
a life long resident of Ingram and, as cashier at Ingram Mazket, is experienced in
handling funds ably and honestly. She is agreeable to serving, will make her time
available, and is a supporter of both the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department and of
Emergency Services District 1.

Re: Board Member Replacement
Gentlemen:
It has been my privilege and pleasure to serve on the Board of The District I Emergency
Services, as Treasurer, for the past twelve (12+) years.
The Volunteer Fire Fighters are so important to the safety of our community, as well as
our surrounding areas. Their dedication to their purpose has been outstanding and
appreciated by all.
At this time, I am submitting my resignation on this fine Board. I have exhausted many
efforts to find a person to replace me. I will, however, continue to search.
Thank you for the honor of assisting the District I Emergency Services and I so
appreciate the many courtesies extended me during my tenure.
