Came to be heard this the 13th day of February, 2006, with a motion made
by Commissioner Williams, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin. The
Court unanimously approved by vote of 3-0-0 to:
Allow the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center to provide a blood drive for
Brenda Geurin and to place the unit here on the Courthouse property at the
time indicated.

RE: Blood Drive for Brenda Geurin
As most of you know, Deter Geurin has been battling cancer. Now his wife, Brenda has been
diagnosed with cancer too. She has already had two blood transfusions and is expected to have
surgery and will need more blood.
The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center was in Kerrville January 26"' and we were able to get 5
pints donated to Brenda even though we only had 1 % days to get the word out. Rita Holmberg
with STB&T called me and offered to bring the mobile center back to Kerr County on Friday,
March 17, 2006, to have a Blood Drive for Brenda.
We aze asking the Court's permission:
1) To pazk the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center Mobile Unit at the Courthouse
on March 17, 2006 to open at 10:00 a.m and close at 2:00 p.m.
2) To allow us to post flyers
3) To participate in any way you can.
I talked with Glenn Holekamp and he will help with the setup and suggested we set it up inside
the parking area on the corner of Main and Sidney Baker.
