I WILLIAM "BILL" WILLIAMS, CommissionerPCt. 2 JONATHAN LETZ, Commissioner Pct. 3 DAVE NICHOLSON, Commissioner Pct. 4 dO 2 1 2 3 4 5 5 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 ~5 On Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a special meeting of the Kerr County Commissioners Court was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom, Kerr County Courthouse, Kerrville, Texas, and the following proceedings were had in open court: P R O C E E D I N G S JUDGE TINLEY: Let me call to order the special Commissioners Court meeting posted for Tuesday, April 18th, 2006, at 2:30 p.m. It's approximately an hour after that now, as necessitated by the Kerr County Juvenile Facility Board of i Trustees meeting. We have one item on the agenda, and that is to consider, discuss, and take appropriate action to authorize hiring of experts for the E.B.A. lawsuit. With regard to this matter, Mr. Emerson, is it your belief that we need to go directly into executive session? MR. EMERSON: Yes, sir, I think the discussion of the case needs to take place in executive, and whatever order y'all choose to take place in open afterwards. JUDGE TINLEY: Very well. We will go out of open or public session at 3:35. (The open session was closed at 3:35 p.m., and an executive session was held, the transcript of which is contained in a separate document.) JUDGE TINLEY: Okay . We will come back into open or public session at 3:45. COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: I would move that the Court authorize the County Attorney to communicate with the law firm of Shaddox, Compere, Walraven, and Good affirmatively with respect to the hiring of experts for the E.B.A. lawsuit. COMMISSIONER NICHOLSON: Second. COMMISSIONER LETZ: With an amount not to exceed $10,000. COMMISSIONER WILLIAMS: That's fine. COMMISSIONER NICHOLSON: Second. JUDGE TINLEY: Motion made and seconded. Is there any question or discussion on the motion? All in favor of the motion, signify by raising your right hand. (The motion carried by unanimous vote.) JUDGE TINLEY: All opposed, same sign.
