We aze happy to help you in your decision making process. Attached is information regarding potential COLAs effective January 1, 2007. Please note that annuitants whose initial payments commence after December 2005 will not be eligible to receive a January 1, 2007 COLA. We have reviewed the information in aggregate for reasonableness; however, it has not been audited and individual records may be subject co correction. We have unclosed an exhibit comparing the effect on current annuitants' monthly benefits fora 4% flat-rate COLA and a SO~h CPI-based COLA. For comparative purposes, we have also included a 100% CPI-based COLA. The 100% CPI-based COLA amounts would buy about the same amount of goods and services today as the original annuity amounts bought at retirement. Please note [hat aflat-rare COLA generally restores greater purchasing power to more recent annuitants, while aCPI-based GOLA restores the same percentage of purchasing power to all annuitants.
