Came to be heazd this the 14th day of August, 2006, with a motion made by
Commissioner Williams, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin. The Court
unanimously approved by vote of 4-0-0 to:
Approve the request from The Blue Knights to use Flat Rock Lake Pazk the
weekend of October 21, 2006 (20th, 21st & 22nd).

Comments: Sorry for this late notice. The dates leave been changed for the
Chr7i Cook-Off from October 21~' to October 28`x. So we would like to
utilize the park for overnight accammadations for the evening of the '17~h and
28~, if possible. 1 believe that very few would actually utilize ibe park, but
it is believed that some would.

To the Honorable Kerr County Commissioners Court,
Please consider this a request to utilize the Couirty Park behind the Ag Barn far the
weekend of October 21 ~`, 2006
1'he members of the Blue Knights Chapter XXIII are planning on hosting a Chili Cork-
Offat the River Staz Pazk an the 21" of October. The Blue Knights are camprised of
active and retired law enforcement oH"icers that ride motorcycles. Our Chapter includes
Kerrville Police llepartment officers, Kerr [aunty Officers, Gillespie County OtTicers,
State otI-leers. as well as ether local and Federal officers.
'Pius Chile Conk-Uff is a fundraiser to allow us to donate monies to the Kerr County
Crisis Women Shelter the have adopted the Women's shelter as our recipient of our
fundraisers. It is hopeful that it is successful and will allow us to donate a large sum
towards the shelter as well as allow it to be an annual fundraiser
By being able to utilize the catatty park, it would allow those participating in the Chili
Cook-OiI'to park their travel trailers in the county park on Friday afternoon and remove
them on Sunday .morning. This would help facilitate their participation in the Chili
Cook-OtF
The Blse Knights Chapter XXII1 OtHcers are
Retired Kerr County Deputy Brown Stokes is our President.
I'm the Vice-Lresident.
Retired KPD Detective Steve Scdyka is the Treasurer
