ADDENDUM FOR 2007 KERR COUNTY MARKET DAYS
AND KERR COUNTY FARMER'S MARKET
USAGE LICENSE
This Addendum to the Agreement, made and entered into by and between Kerr
County and the Kerr County Mazket Association:
WITNESSETH
THAT WHEREAS, the Association desires and requests to begin Kerr County
Market Days and Kerr County Farmer's Market on the 4th Saturday of March, 2007,
instead of the 4th Saturday of April, 2007, to directly benefit the community and the
Association's vendors by increasing the number of market dates from 9 to 10 days; and
WHEREAS, the Association and its vendors desire and requests to expand the
Saturday only Memorial Day Weekend market to Saturday and Sunday market for the
yeaz 2007; and
WHEREAS, the Association represents that it has the funding and ability to
provide overnight security for the vendor's wares on the Courthouse premises and shall
take the necessary steps to minimize damage to the property and to restore the
Courthouse grounds to their original condition following each market day; and
WHEREAS, there is no conflict regarding the County Courthouse premises for
Memorial Day Weekend Ceremonies, which will take place on the Monday holiday; and
WHEREAS, County desires to continue to assist and encourage small business
development and desires to continue to promote youth participation in agricultural based
business through the support of a centrally located market; and
WHEREAS, County approves and agrees to modify the current license
agreement to conduct Market Days on the fourth Saturday of each month, beginning the
fourth Saturday in March, 2007, and continuing once per month through November 2007,
and on the third Saturday in December 2007, as outlined in the original Agreement and
any addendums attached, thereby enabling vendors to maintain or increase customer
participation,
NOW THEREFORE, the above stated limited modifications are effective only
for the year 2007 and all other terms and conditions of the Market Days Usage License
shall remain in full force and effect. The Market Days 2003 agreement and all
addendums thereof shall be terminated on December 31, 2007 and a new contract shall be
tendered for 2008.
