Agenda Item Backup Statement In October, 2000, we had a lively Public Hearing regarding a proposal to establish "No Wake" zones on Flat Rock, Ingrain, and Center Point lakes. During the process, Ingram and Center Point lakes were deleted from the proposal. Court Order No. 26682, adopted October 10, 2000, in reality does not establish a no wake zone for Flat Rock Lake, although the verbiage of the Court Order would lead you to conclude that it did. After the Public Heatring, I withdrew the proposed agenda item, deferring to State Laws to be enforced by Pazks and Wildlife. However, for reasons that I am uncertain about, signage was posted in Flat Rock Lake Park advising boaters that the lake was as "no wake" lake. SheriffHeirholzer was contacted, researched the matter, and instructed Road & Bridge to remove the sign-which never should have been posted to begin with. So, to avoid further confusion on the matter, Court Order No. 26682 should be rescinded.
