Our purpose or mission is to help keep the Guadalupe River clean. Yes, it is just that situp/e, no politics. We are just volunteers dedicated to work at the river to help keep it beautiful. Our volunteers need equipment, water to drink and money to pay dump fees. The more money we raise the more we can do. For the past 4 years, we have had an Annual Fundraiser (The Guadalupe River Parade.) We haven't raised much money but we have brought a lot of awareness to the river and had several local businesses involved. It has been a great deal of fun for all of usl This year we have joined forces with the Reno/ution Radio Station and are bringing in a name band, and plan to have a dance following the parade as welt as a Silent Auction. We ar+e welt known for all the prizes we give away each year fi+vm our local merchants. This will be the biggest event we have had so far. Let me get to the point, we need your help! May we have our parade this year at Flat Rock Park on August 18"', 20D7? We have grown, as this is our 5"' year and we are concerned about all the traKrc on the highway and there are not enough places for parking. Part of our event will include food vendors, moonwalks for the kids, and the Anny's rock climbing waN, krcal business booths, M^e entertainment and a live -emote broadcast Oh yes, and as many floats as we can puf in fire water. Please look at our web sight at www.clearriveradvocates.ora There are pictures from last year's parade and some clean-ups we did. Sincerely, Marvin ~Ilfs/Director P.S. Clear River Advocates would like to formally invite you to be our, `Master Of Ceremonies' at the Guadalupe River Parade --. this year!
