RESOLUTION OF "THE AMERICAN FAMILY REUNION"
Came to be heard this the 23rd day of April, 2007, with a motion made by
Commissioner Williams, seconded by Commissioner Letz. The Court
unanimously approved by vote of 4-0-0 to:
Approve the Resolution of Proclamation designating July 1-4, 2007 as "The
American Family Reunion", after making the following 2 corrections:
In the second "Whereas", in the first sentence, change "American" to
United States of "America"; and in the fourth "Whereas", in the fourth
line, change "American" to God Bless "America".

The Commissioner's Court of Williamson County, Texas approved a proclamation on
October 24, 2006, supporting both the family and the sense of patriotism within our
community. The court proclaimed July 1-4, 2007 as "1'he American Family Reunion"
celebrating our origins, our heritage and our liberty. The Court also endorsed this
proclamation on February 28, 2006 for the celebration theme for July 1-4, 2006.
The county is again happy to join with the City of Liberty Hill, the Liberty Hill
Independent School Board, the Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce, the Liberty Hill
Independent Newspaper, the Liberty Hill Foundation Park Board, and many others in
supporting this grassroots effort to promote family values and community spirit as our
nation celebrates our country's independence.
Thank you for uniting with us in this cooperative effort in placing this proclamation on
your next agenda as this will maximize the time that will be needed to plan these events.
