Tommy From: Kelly Cortez [mailto:kellyc@county.org] Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2007 1:05 PM To: Tommy Tomlinson Subject: RE: Employee Blanket Bond Hello Tommy, In order to help you I need some additional information. Specifically what are you looking to cover? Currently you do not have any Crime Coverage, this coverage would cover everyone except persons required by law to be individually bonded under Form O, employee dishonesty. These people are automatically excluded from public 5/23/2007 Page 2 of 2 employee dishonesty coverage. Forms B (forgery), C (theft, disappearance and destruction- Money and Securities), D (robbery and safe burglary- other than money and securities) and R (counterfeit currency) cover anyone but an employee, director, trustee or authorized representative. TAC does not issue bonds. If Crime coverage will work for you 1 can fax you an application to complete and I can issue you a quote based on this application. Persons required by law to be bonded would have some coverage under the Public Officials by the acceptance of endorsement by County Clerk and District Clerk. However, Kerr County does not carry these endorsements...only punitive damages, back wages and district attorney. Please let me know if you would like me to fax you a Crime application Kind Regards, Kelly Cortez Customer Service Representative Texas Association of Counties Phone: 800-456-5974 (TX Only) or 512-478-8753 Fax:512-478-1426 From: Tommy Tomlinson [mailto:kcaudit@co.kerr.tx.us] Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2007 8:57 AM To: Kelly Cortez Subject: Employee Blanket Bond Kelly: Thanks for the email updating us on the change. You will be hearing from us often; we are selling used equipment and vehicles on ebay. We are considering employee blanket bond coverage for the next renewal. The county is currently in the budgeting process so we need a cost estimate. What do you need from us for an estimate? We have approximately 300 employees to include. This subject is on the agenda for Commissioner's Court on 5-29-07. I apologize for such short notice. Thanks for your help. Have a good day. Tommy Tomlinson 5/23/2007
