The Court unanimously approved by vote of 3-0-0 to: Authorize the same prescribed burn procedures that we've authorized previously, and delegate that to the NRCS office, so if someone has a prescribed burn plan filed with them that they've approved, that people can burn during burn bans. l'~~ 30;50 COMMISSIONERS' COURT AGENDA REQUEST PLEASE FURNISH ONE ORIGINAL AND TEN (10) COPIES OF THIS REQUEST AND DOCUMENTS TO BE REVIEWED BY THE COURT MADE BY: Comm. Burn Ban Discussion Review implementation and notification procedures: We need to set procedures to more efficiently notify critical parties such as Volunteer Fire Departments, Sheriff Dispatch, Website, 911 Dispatch, others In previous years the Commissioners Court has allowed individuals to conduct "prescribed burns" for agricultural purposes during a burn ban. To conduct such prescribed burns the individuals must submit burn plans to the NRCS office and such plans must be approved by the NRSC office. I recommend we this procedure again this year. I think the website needs additional information related to outdoor burning such as a precinct map and referencing State law concerning outdoor burning. CURRENT BURN BAN PROCEDURES: 1. Update burn ban hotline 2. Email the "Burn Ban" group AND John Trolinger -CALL John also 3. Print out the "sent" email, and fax to the Sheriff s Dept 4. Call dispatch (Kerrville PD) 5. Keep a copy of the email in the "Burn Ban" file 6. Notify the newspapers via email
