WHEREAS Livestock shows and activities have been a major part of the history anti culture for many generations in Kerr County; and WHEREAS The Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show Association has been an integral part of Kerr County for more than 65 years; and WHEREAS The Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show Association has grown to be the fifth largest Junior Livestock Show in the State of Teas; and WHEREAS "i'he youth of Kerr County and the youth of all Counties that participate benefit greatly from the annual Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show Association in the areas of raising livestock, learning responsibilities, furthering their education through scholarships and respecting their environment; and WHEREAS The Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show Association u~ conjunction with Kerrville Main Street, the Kerrville Area Chamber ot~ Commerce and a host of businesses have worked to kick olt~ the. ?008 stock show season in grand style with a Cowboy Breakfast on the grounds of the Kerr County Courthouse; and WHEREAS The Kerr County Commissioners Court has had a long standing relationship with the Hill Country District Junior Livestock Sho~~~ Association; now therefore be it RESOLVED By Kerr County Commissioners' Court that we officially declare I~ridav.
