As we discussed, please consider the following information for your Monday, July 9, 2007,
Commissioners' Court Agenda:
Consider scheduling public hearing regarding Kerr County's possible participation in the 2008 Texas
Community Development Block Grant Program for Colonic Planning in Center Point at 5:00 ~ m on
.7uly 12, 2007, at the County Commissioners' Courtroom
The Colonic Planning activities could include:
• Housing/Land Use, possibly including an update to the Community Survey
• Drainage/Streets
• Mapping overlays onto digital aerial photography
We'd be able to cover the Center Point community, Hill River Country Estates, and Westwood Park. There
were several other subdivisions in the Cerrter Point area originally considered colonic areas during the 2002
Colonic Comprehensive Plan process, but they were dropped after the public's objections to colonic
designations. Therefore they are not eligible for Colonic. Area Planning consideration.
At this point I still need to look into the full range of items that the plan could provide outside its normal
scope that might be useful to the County, so that we don't duplicate the work you'll be doing with the
anticipated PAD funding from TWDB.
Once the Court approves the hearing date, we'll start the income surveys for Hill River and Westwood
Park (Center Point is already qualified). We'll put together a more specific list of items to include in the
plan's scope of work.
Then, we'll come to Court for a Resolution to Apply at the July 23 meeting.
I hope this gets to you in time for your agenda-I have been off by a week since I got back from my
vacation, and am still catching up.
