BOX 29928 • SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS 78229-0928 • (210) 615-1110 June 8, 2007 The Honorable Pat Tinley Kerr County Judge 700 Main Street Kerrville. Texas 75028 RE: Intersection of SH 27 and Goat Creek Cutoff Road Dear Judge Tinley: I have received your letter and petition regarding the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of SH 27 and Goat Creek Cutoff Road. I am pleased to inform you that the engineering studies for a traffic signal at this intersection have been completed. The studies have shown that a traffic signal would improve safety at this location. We are beginning design of this traffic signal and currently plan to have a contract ready for letting in January 2008. I would expect that construction of this signal to begin m April 2008 with completion by late summer 2008. Our Area Engineer, Mike Coward will keep you updated on any changes to this tentative schedule. Thank you for the great partnership we have shared for many years in addressing the many concerns of our wonderful Kerr County. Sincerely, David Casteel, PE.
