The f first is our annual budget request. We are still in process of compiling this document and I will be able to give you the requisite 10 copies of 'r budget document nfter our special meeting on 5 August. I do want to reserve a pot on this agenda at this time. The second request is f or the Commissioners' Court approval of the movement of three existing Texas State Historical Monuments. Two of these movements will have some affect on the County Courthouse grounds. 1. We are asking permission to have the existing 1936 historical marker -Camp Verde CSA -located at the northeast corner of Main and Sidney Bnker - Courthouse grounds -moved to a site near the Camp Verde store. The actual site is on the excess TxDOT ROW between FM 480 and Verde Creek and Hwy 173. 2. We are also asking for the movement of the forlorn state historical marker regarding the establishment of Kerr County. We ask that this 1936 red granite marker be moved f rom its location out on Hwy 27 to the courthouse grounds and placed in a prominent site. 3. We will also be requesting the relocation of an existing marker in the TxDOT 08/05/2008 Page 2 of 2 picnic area in f rout of the Camp Verde General Store. This request seeks the ,;:location of this marker to the site on higher ground -out of the floodwny - on the east side of Verde Creek -where the Camp Verde CSA marker will be located. There are documents which Judge Tinley and the Commissioners will need to approve before this action can, occur. Mike Coward, the TxDOT district engineer has already approved this action as it will involve TxDOT rights-of-wny. A full packet - in 10 copies -will be forthcoming to your office within a week. I do want to reserve a spot on this agenda at this time. Thank you for your kind consideration and continued cooperation.
