E-mail: email@aaoog.oom Kerr County's unemployment rate remained unchanged in October (after adjustments by the State) according to labor market statistics released by Workforce Solutions Alamo. The county's jobless rate for the month was 4.4 percent, equal to the 4.4 percent rate adjusted to in September. Kerr County's unemployment rate, meanwhile, registered well below the overall jobless rate of 5.1 percent for the 12-county Alamo Workforce Development Area (WDA), which includes Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina and Wilson counties. Gillespie County registered the lowest unemployment rate in the Alamo Area in October at 3.4 percent. The unadjusted unemployment rate for the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in October registered 5.1 percent, up from 5.0 percent in September. The Texas unadjusted (actual) unemployment rate for October, meanwhile, increased to 5.4 percent while the national unadjusted (actual) rate increased to 6.1 percent.
