Main Street Kerrville, Texas 78028 Dear Judge Tinley: The Hill Country Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (HCCADA) is applying for a Substance Abuse Educational Prevention program be provide in your area schools for FY'08- '09. This proposal will be provided through funding with the Department of State Health Services. HCCADA staff has already visited with school administrators and have receive approval (if funded) to provide a proven model "Botvin's Life Skills Training" Program in their elementary and middle schools. We however, need this signed Memorandum of Understanding from our local officials who understand the importance of substance abuse programming for their youth. This agreement will commence on September 1, 2008 and terminate on August 31, 2009. This memorandum serves as a working agreement in which: The gerr County Court agrees to: • refer Adults and Youth to other support services • refer Adult and Youth clients for follow-up services • refer Adult and Youth clients for Substance Abuse Evaluations • refer Adult Outpatient Treatment Program • refer youth to substance abuse educational programs • refer adults and youth to Offender Education Programs The Hill Country on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Ins agrees to: • provide appropriate services for the Kerr County Court.
