Funds have also been used to provide planning services and disaster relief (road and bridge repairs). Current and future TxCDBG grant opportunities include: 2008 Texas CDBG Colonia Fund Provide sewer service to Ranchero Road from SH 16 to Quail Valley Drive $500,000 in grant funds, $25,000 in match from UGRA Status: Funding is pending, scored well enough to be funded under the 2008 allocation, expect funding notice in March or Apri12008. 2009-10 TxCDBG Community Development Fund Available to provide public improvements within the County-traditionally water and sewer, but could be expanded to allow for other activities such as street paving or drainage improvements by actions of the Regional Review Committee. $250,000 in grant funds, $12,500 in match Status: Awaiting scoring and application instructions from ORCA, expected deadline in the late summer 2008, with funding available in spring 2009 at the earliest. 2009-10 TxCDBG Colonia Fund Available to provide first-time public water or sewer service infrastructure and connections and/or replacement of failing septic tanks/cesspools in designated colonic areas. $500,000 in grant funds, at least $25,000 in match Status: Typically applications are due one or two months after the CD Fund due date, so probably fall 2008 with funding available in spring or summer 2009 at the earliest. In addition to these funding opportunities, we expect the City of Ingram will receive $250,000 from its pending 2008 TxCDBG award to pay for household connections to its new sewer collection system. Application activities for the 2009-10 Cycle will likely begin in late spring and early summer, once the RRC establishes scoring criteria and ORCA issues application guidance.
