Came to be heard this the 14t~' day of July, 2008 with a motion made by Commissioner
Oehler, seconded by Commissioner Baldwin, the Court unanimously approved by a vote
of 4-0-0 the use of $36,000 from the Schreiner Trust fund for road maintenance in
precinct 1 & 4.

RE: Use of Schreiner Trust Fund
The unusually high price of petroleum products has caused severe budget problems for our
department.
Besides the fuel products some of the other issues that hurt the department's budget are:
1) The additional cost passed on from all the vendors;
2) TCEQ pulled our Water permit because of the drought. This causes us to travel to
the Waste Water Treatment Plant instead of using a water source near the job site;
3) Unexpected bleeding on Sheppard Rees required extra funds to repair;
4) The Annual bid for Cold Mix came in $5.56 more per ton over last year and Black
Base increased $3.56. That increases every truck load approximately $139;
5) TXDOT off-site bridge report required that we expend over $12,000 on bridge
repairs.
We still have the following projects that were planned for the 07-08 Budget that we do not have
the funds to complete.
1)	Re-stripping of Sheppard Rees	$8,000
2)	Seal coat 3.2 miles of Fisher Road	10,000
3)	Level up material (Cold mix)	10,000
4)	Base Material for Weatherby	8,000

We ask that you allow us to use $36,000 from the Schreiner Trust Fund to do this work in Pct.
& Pct. 4.
