Recently Kerr County Commissioners Court appointed Bud Fawcett and re-appointed Johnnie Hawkins to
two years terms on Kerr County ESD No. 1 Board. Due to a memory lapse on my part, I thought the
other three ESD Commissioners had a year remaining on their terms. Unfortunately, that is not so and the
Texas law is specific on the two year term. Therefore, at our last monthly meeting, we voted to
recommend to County Court that you re-appoint, for ONE year terms, our existing ESD Commissioners
as follows:
Kenneth Wood, recent President
Donald Oehler, recent Secretary
Jo Anne Varner, newly elected Treasurer.
The above have agreed to serve. The one year term is recommended so that the proviso in the law for
staggered terms will be met. Please contact me if you have any questions.
