Came to be heard this the 27th day of May, 2008, with a motion made by
Commissioner Letz, seconded by Commissioners Williams/Oehler. The Court
unanimously approved by vote of 4-0-0 to:
Open bids for the 648 sq. ft. of concrete sidewalk at the Kerr County Courthouse
from:
1. Montgomery Construction on removal and replacement of the
sidewalk - $6,485
There is an add on for granite and curb (if needed) 600 sq. ft. - $2,850
This Bid was a composite for all projects - $29,145, but which did not
include granite and curbs
2. Freed and Barker - $8,940
3. Thomas Mall Concrete - $8,850
4. Schwarz Construction - $14,310
And move we accept all bids and refer to Maintenance Director for
recommendation.

We hereby submit specifications and estimates for: Kerr County Courthouse Sidewalk Project
Will excavate and remove from site approx. 648 sq. ft. of existing sidewalk and place topsoil in
excavated area.
Will subgrade for 1488 sq. ft. of new sidewalk; will place 6 mil vapor barrier under 3000 PSI concrete
utilizing #3 rebar on one foot centers.
Price: $14,310.00
New sidewalk placement in excess of 1488 sq. ft. will be at the unit price of $4.50 per sq. ft.
Alternate #1: In lieu of topsoil (on excavated sidewalk area) will place decomposed granite for an
additional cost of $1,340.00.
Note: Before construction can begin, underground utilities must be located by Owner or Owner's agent. Schwarz
Construction Co. will not be held responsible for damage to underground utilities unless such are clearly and accurately
marked. Bid does not include utility disconnects, material and/or compaction testing, nor any item not referenced above. Bid
is for continuous flow of work with no interruption by others (one mobilization).
We hereby propose to furnish labor, material and equipment -complete in accordance with
above specifications for the sum of: Fourteen thousand three hundred ten and 00/100 Dollars
($14,310.00) Payment to be made as follows: Payment in full upon completion of job.
