Agenda Item Backup Judge and Commissioners: CP Wastewater Application as filed with Texas Water Development Board is for $385,000 for Facilites Planning. Kerr County's 25% match requirement for this amount is $96,250 of which is cash, $48,125, and t/Z is in-kind, $48,125. TWDB is looking to reduce the total amount down to $238,000-THIS AMOUNT HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED, BUT IS BEING WORKED ON BY ENGINEERS FROM TWDB AND TETRA TECH. See attached emails. If the total grant amount is reduced to the lower figure, our match requirement would likewise be reduced, and might be in the range of $59,500. This would break down to: '/2 cash, $29,750, and 1/~ in-kind, $29,750. However, the negotiations between TWDB and Tetra Tech could produce a total amount somewhere in between the two scenarios above. We probably will not know the final number until early next week. Approval of the higher amount would mean we have covered our obligation regardless the outcome of the negotiations between TWDB and Tetra Tech. Bottom line is that they want to reduce the scope, and also the cost, of the facility plan. Essentially they are trimming out some of the work such as surveying, permitting, and geotech and pushing it into the design phase. I am going to work to get them what they need by close of business tomorrow, so we can (hopefully) still get on the October agenda. As part of those revisions, 1 will try to get you updated contracts tomorrow, but if i can't make that you will definitely get them early next week. Again, the only changes to the contrails I forsee is a reduction in the cost and perhaps a slight modification to the scope of work. If you have any questions, please let me know. 1 am out of the office the rest of the day today, but will be in bright and early tomorrow. 5.
