r -:_ Kerr County's unemployment rate increased in July according to labor market statistics released by Workforce Solutions Alamo. The county's jobless rate for the month was 4.1 percent, up from 3.8 percent in June. Kerr County's unemployment rate, meanwhile, registered well below the overall jobless rate of 4.8 percent for the 12-county Alamo Area, which includes Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina and Wilson counties. Gillespie County registered the lowest unemployment rate in the Alamo Area in July at 3.1 percent. The unadjusted unemployment rate for the San Antonio MSA also increased to 4.8 percent in July, up from 4.6 percent in June. The Texas unadjusted unemployment rate increased to 5.0 percent in July while the national rate jumped to 6.0 percent.
