During my absence, if you need to contact someone in our office Jaime Kypuros is familiar with the project and will be able to offer assistance. I looked into our history with utility easements, and it confirmed what we discussed earlier today; for construction you need to obtain a temporary construction easement in addition to the existing permanent easement. As part of the easement agreement and construction contract the contractor would be required to return the site to original conditions: leveling soil, repairing/replacing fences, etc. If practical I'd recommend a 20' wide easement. As a temporary easement it need not necessarilly be entirely clear of obstructions (trees, structures), as they can often work around them. I also believe that since it is temporary it does not need the same formality as a permanent easement (legal descriptions, etc.) S. Keller Drozdick, P.E.
