I'm Joe Cahill, a member of the organizing committee for the Southwest Tandem Rally for this year. (htt~z;/ ~~,~wh t~ca_t_s ~~~g,~srut~'~UJ~Its~5vtr2()~9.b~m_ _I_) Glenda Lackey suggested I contact you when I inquired about someone in charge of the usage at the Center Point Lion's Park. The Southwest Tandem Rally is based this year from the Inn of the Hills. We showcase the natural beauty of the countryside and the charm of the towns within a day's vigorous bike ride of Kerrville. We host up to 125 couples from within Texas and far states. Our bike ride includes a box lunch and rest point for the couples participating. The Center Point Lion's Park is a very attractive location for a picnic lunch. I'd like to use a portion of the park for the lunch on Saturday, April 25th. However, I don't want our group to be in conflict with another group using the park. If our use of a portion of the park works out we'd likely set up a portable toilet in a corner of the park away from the river and crossing road. We'd also likely set up a table to distribute the box lunches and collect the trash. At the largest our group will be 125 couples, who will arrive one by one or in small groups of 2 to 5 bikes, because everybody rides at their own pace. Likely we'd be there from mid- morning to mid-afternoon. Are you the person we work with to make sure our proposed usage of the park is compatible with other users of the park? Thank you. -------- Original Message -------- Subject:Center Point Lions Park contact Date:Tue, 3 Feb 2009 20:09:18 -0800 (PST) From:Glenda Lackey ~g_l_enda.lack~~yahQO,ca_m> Reply-To:gd~nda.l~~~key~,~~ ahoa_cc~ To:~ cahill~austin.rr.com_ C~:Lion Steve Skipper ~sski~~er~~_wildblue.net> Hi Joe.
