Came to be heard this the 12th day of January, 2009, with a motion made by
Commissioner Letz, seconded by Commissioner Oehler, the Court unanimously
approved by a vote of 4-0-0 to:
Approve two updates to the 2008-2009 Kerr County Indigent Health Care Policy adopted
in December, 2008:
1. Effective January 1, 2009, change 14 days to 19 days to file a written
appeal, if they have applied and have been denied.
2. Add "non-voting" after the IHC Clerk and the wording of it.

Two policy corrections are requested on the 2008-2009 Kerr County Indigent
Health Policy
Based on change in state law effective January 1, 2009, under KC1HP policies
* If an applicant is denied coverage, the person will have 90 days (was I4 days itt
original policy} to file a written appeal with KCII3P. Aform will be provided. An appeals
committee will review the application and written appeal and set up a hearing with the
applicant. The review committee will be made up of the IHC clerk (add non-~~oting) and
two unbiased members.
