These new positions will be used for patrol deputies who are assigned sectors and encouraged to interact with the public to build positive relationships. This has proven to be very effective in increasing the number of tips that has led to the solving of crimes and also information that has assisted in the prevention of crime. These positions will allow us to not only have a more effective patrol to prevent crime, but will also enable us to respond to calls more quickly. The Kerr County Sheriff's Office also works closely with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence information and ways to prevent and solve crimes.
