TAX ASSESSOR/COLLECTOR OFFICE HOLIDAY HOURS
Came to be heard this the 9th day of November, 2009, with a motion made by
Commissioner Williams, seconded by Commissioner Oehler, the Court unanimously
approved by a vote of 4-0-0 to:
Approve the Tax Assessor/Collector's office being open on December 31, 2009 from
8:00 am to x:00 pm (a scheduled County holiday) to allow for end of year tax payments,
and to have alternate floating days for the Tax Assessor/Collector's staff to be off for this
holiday.

Tax Assessor/Collectors Agenda Item
December 31St is typically one of our busiest days of the year for tax collections. Last year
we were closed and heard about it for months from the taxpayers. I would like to have our office
open on the 31St (all departments) to take care of business as we should.
March 2, 2010 is the Gubenatorial Primary day. I am requesting my office (all departments)
be open as we expect this to be a large turn out and all personnel are needed to help with the
phones.
With the courts permission I will allow my employees to have an alternate date off for both
of these holidays.
