Gentlemen,
Can you believe it's that time of year to start thinking of National Day of Prayer? We would love to use the front area of the
courthouse again this year for our Celebration. It will be Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 11:30a.m. - 12:30p.m.
There will be proclamations, prayer, and Praise!
Judge Tinley, would you once again read the county proclamation? Commissioners, would you all please sign it in front of
the crowd? Then someone will be praying for you all, before you take your seats.
The theme for this 59th Annual Observance of Prayer in America will be: PRAYER For Such A Time As This. "The Lord is
good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him." Nahum 1:7 is such an appropriate scripture for
2010!
Also, we can talk with Tim Bollier about seating "things' up for that day.

KERR COUNTY, TEXAS PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS America was founded on the principles of religious faith and freedom; and
WHEREAS Throughout the history of our county, we have humbly prayed for guidance and
comfort where needed and have given thanks for the many blessings that God has
graciously bestowed on this nation since its inception; and
WHEREAS Prayer is regarded by millions as the most important utterance for mankind for its
benefits; and
WHEREAS The National Day of Prayer is a day set aside by Congress for all Americans to
pray and reaffirm spiritual principles upon which this nation is founded; and
WHEREAS This year marks the 59th anniversary of the consecutive annual observance of the
National Day of Prayer and its theme, PRAYER for such a time as this; and
WHEREAS Across Kerr County, Texas, Americans unite in prayer for our nation, state, and
county to acknowledge our dependence upon God, to give thanks for the many
blessings our country has received from Him, to recognize our personal and
corporate renewal and moral values and to invoke God's blessings upon our
leaders and ask God to unite and heal our county.
RESOLVED That Kerr County Commissioners' Court, by adoption of this Proclamation, hereby
declare May 6, 2010 to be "NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER" in Kerr County, Texas.
ADOPTED effective as of the 6th day of May, 2010
