RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF KERR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' COURT IN SUPPORT OF HILL COUNTRY TELEPHONE COOPERATIVE IN ITS PROPOSAL TO ELIMINATE TOLL CALLING BETWEEN ITS FIFTEEN (15) EXCHANGES. WHEREAS In 1951, a group of incorporators met and formed Hill Country telephone Cooperative, Inc. for the purpose of furnishing area -wide telephone service in rural areas to the widest practical number of users; and WHEREAS Based on the cooperative plan at the lowest cost, consistent with sound economy and good management, Hill Country Telephone Cooperative , Inc., provides telecommunication services in 15 exchanges located in 14 counties spread over 2900 square miles in rugged Hill Country terrain; and WHEREAS Consistent with the Cooperative's objectives to enhance, improve and maintain telephone service at the highest level for the least possible cost to its members, HCTC is proposing to eliminate existing tolls between its exchanges, thereby providing local calling throughout its entire communications system; and WHEREAS HCTC intends to file its "EAS" application with the Public Utilities Commission later this year; and WHEREAS HCTC is required to designate a contact individual in each of its calling exchanges to facilitate this process; now therefore be it RESOLVED That Kerr County Commissioners' Court by adoption of this Resolution does hereby support HCTC in its efforts to provide local calling service throughout its service area and designates the following individuals as contacts for Ken County; 1.
