Sometime when you attempt to pick up a call ringing on another phone, it piths up a call from another department or an outside call. This needs to be hexed; i2. Some employees are unable to forward calls to another extension without losing the call; ,~~~ i 3. Some employees report that their phone disconnects during a call; 14. Various departments are not able to send or receive faxes. In the County Attorney's Office, faxes being sent to that office are coming in as e-mails to Barbara. Holmes' computer -this is not an adequate solution to the fax problem; l5. Various departments report that even the telephones that have been installed still do not have the lines properly . or placed. The lines need to be placed behind furniture or otherwise hialden behind wall plates, not just left hanging oust of the wall; As you are aware, time is of the ice with this project, as many county departments rely heavily on telephonic communications to take care of their daily business. If we cannot make or receive telephone calls or faxes, our ability to serve our customers is severely impaiired. ~~Z.l ~~ a _ 1-~cinc} ~.~~ Please be advised that if you cannot provide the Commissioners Court and the TT' Department with some real and immediate assurance that the remaining items will be addressed to their satisfaction within the next ten days, it may become nY for the Court to exercise its available options to have the system completed by another vendor. Pat Tinley, Kea County Judge John Trolinger, Kerr County IT Dept. ~Ww Computer Plus Kerr County Phone System Proposal This package contains quote, terms, brochures, and equipment layout Drew Trainum 11/8/2009 Kerr County Phone System Pro This bid contains the system that was described by the Kerr County I.T. Department. We feel to get the redundancy that is wanted, we will insist on a Dell server with dual raided hard disks and dual power supplies running Server 2003 and 3cx. I know that Avaya, Toshiba, and Nortel usually only have one power supply and have raided hard drives as a pricey option. We have found that this setup is reliable and easy to manage. We can even get your I.T. Staff certified for this system; so they can manage the system themselves. We work with a few nationwide telecom companies like Granite Communications, CTS, New Edge Networks, and a few more; and have installed and maintained all of the major name branded systems. We know that none of the proprietary systems are as robust and full of features as this system. The only proprietary competitor we found is ~"'"~ Toshiba (which we carry but the price for the system like you want doubles). Over the long term, we feel that this system is more cost effective. With Nortel, Avaya, and Toshiba, you have to pay for soft phone licenses and unified messaging software licenses along with features like voicemail and call recording. This system comes standard with all features enabled with no licensing rules. All software needed like soft phones and unified software can be downloaded, used, and installed at no extra cost. Also, in 10 years you will have no need to install a whole new phone system this phone system can be upgraded with a touch of a button. When you are ready to extend this system to the external County Offices all that is needed is another license fora 3cx system and phones. Offices don't even need a vpn connection they just need to have access to the tunneling port. We thought of using open source either trixbox ce or sipExec but the issue came down to support for hardware and support for the software. Support for commercial products is only a phone call or email to resolve even the most complicated issues. We also thought of other commercial products we sell, Toshiba, pbxnsip and trixbox pro the licensing for these systems is well over $140 a user. Trixbox licensing is a yearly cost. We have installed and used all the products'. we sell and 3cx has been proven trustworthy. If you would like more information on 3cx or to view a demo please give us a call.
