Jodi Grinstead,
Hi Jodi. I understand that you handle reservations for the AG barn.
As the president of'KARFA (Kerr Area Rural Fire Association) I have agreed to provide
training for members of all of the VFD's. Our first training will be an EVOC class
(Emergency vehicle operators course) on Saturday June 5th and Sunday June 6th. This
training is a certification course provided free by TEEX to give our fire vehicle drivers
good safety info and give them hands experience in safe driving techniques of large,
heavy, vehicles with a high center of gravity. The number one killer in VFD's is vehicular
accidents en- route to fires. I am looking for a place to hold the class for about 30
people. Saturday will be 6 to 8 hours in the classroom. We would need air conditioning,
chairs and tables, end restroom access. Sunday will be 6 to 8 hours of driving. The large
parking lot at the AG barn would be ideal for this portion of the class. On Sunday all we
would need would be,the parking area and restroom access. If this weekend is open ,what
would the cost be? It is possible that we could find another classroom and just use the
parking lot and restrooms on Sunday. Please let me know if there is anything available.
