STATE OF TEXAS § § COUNTY OF KERR § ORDER PROHIBITING THE KEEPING OF DANGEROUS WILD ANIMALS WHEREAS, this Order is adopted under HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE, Chapter 822 E; WHEREAS, this Order prohibiting the keeping, possession, ownership, confinement, ca e, custody, or control of dangerous wild animals is adopted to protect the health and safety of t e residents of Kerr County; WHEREAS, the Order applies in the unincorporated areas of Kerr County; WHEREAS, the terms "person" and "dangerous wild animal" are meant as those terms are defined under Health and Safety Code, Chapter 822. WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court deems dangerous wild animals dangerous and in need Df control and prohibition in Kerr County. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County: 1. That, henceforth from the date of this order, pursuant to Tex. Local Gov't Co e §240.002(a) and Tex. Health & Safeiy Code §822.116, no person may own, ke , possess, confine, care for, or have custody of an animal defined under Health a d Safety Code, Chapter 822 as a dangerous wild animal. 2. That this Order repeals the November 26, 2001, Commissioners' Court Order No. 27332 A person commits an offense if the person keeps, possesses, owns, confines, cares for, or has custody of a dangerous wild animal within Kerr County, Texas. An offense under this Order iS a Class C misdemeanor.
