PAT TINLEY, Kerr County Judge 24 HON. EMIL KARL PROHL, 198th District Judge 25 ABSENT: HON. STEPHEN B. ABLES, 216th District Judge 2 1 On Thursday, December 2, 2004, at 7:32 p.m., an emergency 2 meeting of the Kerr County Juvenile Board was held in the Kerr 3 County Commissioners Courtroom, Kerr County Courthouse, 4 Kerrville, Texas, and the following proceedings were had: 5 P R O C E E D I N G S 6 JUDGE TINLEY: I will now call to order the 7 emergency meeting of the Kerr County Juvenile Board pursuant 8 to notice posted for this date and time, Thursday, 9 December 2, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. Again, on this item, the 10 only item on the agenda is consider and discuss the approval 11 of amendment to temporary lease and operating agreement at 12 Juvenile Detention Facility. As previously stated, the Kerr 13 County Commissioners Court approved the amendment of the 14 existing temporary lease and operating agreement. The 15 amendment -- the effect of the amendment would be to reduce 16 the notice period for extending the -- the operating 17 agreement and lease agreements for successive one-month 18 periods from -- reduce the period from 30 days to 15 days. 19 That action has now been approved by the Juvenile -- the 20 Hill Country Juvenile Facility Corporation. Because the 21 Juvenile Board is also a party to that agreement, it becomes 22 incumbent upon the Juvenile Board to take action with regard 23 to that proposed amendment. Do I hear a motion -- or I 24 would entertain a motion for the Kerr County Juvenile Board 25 to approve the execution by the chairman of the board of an 12-1-04 jb 3 1 amendment to the existing temporary lease and operating 2 agreements, which would reduce the notice period for 3 extending those agreements in effect from 30 days to 15 4 days. 5 JUDGE PROHL: So moved. 6 JUDGE TINLEY: And I will second that motion. 7 Any question or discussion? All in favor of the motion, 8 signify by raising your right hand. 9 (The motion carried by unanimous vote.) 10 JUDGE TINLEY: All opposed, same sign. 11 (No response.) 12 JUDGE TINLEY: That motion does carry.
