What I'm asking is what I've asked repeatedly from all 6 of you and other citizens; if there's anything on your mind 7 about county government, please bring it to our attention. 8 I'm confident I'm speaking for the other elected officials of 9 this county. We want to know what is on your mind. We 10 represent you and we want to do your will, but you need to 11 communicate with us, and we would ask that you do that. 12 Criticisms, kudos, suggestions, ideas. Just communicate, 13 please. I also want to thank those who have stood by me over 14 these years, particularly my wife and family. And, honey, 15 happy anniversary. 16 (Applause.) 17 JUDGE TINLEY: Thank you. If any of the 18 Commissioners have anything they feel they need to bring to 19 the attention of this assembly, why, come forward and let us 20 know what's on your mind. 21 COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: Is this the time I need to 22 take up the collection? (Laughter.) 23 JUDGE TINLEY: You better hurry. Again, let me 24 remind those that were sworn in, we've got some paperwork that 25 we've got to be sure is completed today, and if you'll stay 1-1-07 27 1 behind, we'll get that done so that everything is up to snuff. 2 I would appreciate it. If there's nothing further to come 3 before -- Judge Elliott? 4 JUDGE ELLIOTT: I just think it ought to be 5 recognized -- special recognition should be given to Judge 6 Tinley. He is the first County Judge in over 20 years to be 7 re-elected County Judge of Kerr County. 8 (Applause.) 9 JUDGE TINLEY: Thank you. I appreciate that 10 confidence. Anything further? We'll stand adjourned. 11 (Commissioners Court adjourned at 10:30 a.m.) 12 - - - - - - - - - - 13 STATE OF TEXAS | 14 COUNTY OF KERR | 15 The above and foregoing is a true and complete 16 transcription of my stenotype notes taken in my 17 capacity as County Clerk of the Commissioners Court 18 of Kerr County, Texas, at the time and place 19 heretofore set forth. 20 DATED at Kerrville, Texas, this 3rd day of 21 January, 2007. 22 23 JANNETT PIEPER, Kerr County Clerk 24 BY: _________________________________ Kathy Banik, Deputy County Clerk 25 Certified Shorthand Reporter 1-1-07
