The agenda item 11 that we have for today is to canvass the official election 12 results for the 2011 November Constitutional Amendment 13 election as per Texas Election Code Section 67. Ms. Alford? 14 MS. ALFORD: Yes, sir. This is the results from 15 the election on November the 8th, and I need you to canvass 16 these votes. 17 JUDGE TINLEY: Okay. For purposes of canvassing, 18 we'll read into the record the results as follows: 19 Proposition Number 1: For, 2,157. Against, 526, for a total 20 vote of 2,683. The over and under, does that have any 21 significance? I don't think so. 22 MS. ALFORD: No, sir. 23 JUDGE TINLEY: Proposition Number 2: For, 1,080. 24 Against, 1,570, for a total vote cast of 2,650. Proposition 25 Number 3: For, 980. Against, 1,684. Total vote cast of 11-16-11 4 1 2,664. Proposition Number 4: For, 652. Against, 1,990, for 2 a total votes cast of 2,642. Proposition Number 5: For, 3 1,367. Against, 1,281, for total votes cast of 2,648. 4 Proposition Number 6: For, 1,025. Against, 1,635, for a 5 total votes cast of 2,660. Proposition 7: For, 1,052. 6 Against, 1,555, for total votes cast of 2,607. Proposition 7 Number 8: For, 949. Against, 1,695, for total votes cast of 8 2,644. Proposition 9: For, 1,150. Against, 1,501, for 9 total votes cast of 2,651. Proposition 10: For, 1,346. 10 Against, 1,307, for total votes cast of 2,653. Do I have a 11 motion that the results as just read into the record be the 12 official canvass of the Commissioners Court for the 13 Constitutional Amendment election held on November 8th, 2011, 14 in Kerr County? 15 COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: Yes. 16 COMMISSIONER OEHLER: Second. 17 JUDGE TINLEY: That's a motion? 18 COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: Yes, sir. 19 JUDGE TINLEY: And second? Any question or 20 discussion on the motion? All in favor of the motion, 21 signify by raising your right hand. 22 (The motion carried by unanimous vote.) 23 JUDGE TINLEY: All opposed, same sign. 24 (No response.) 25 JUDGE TINLEY: The motion does carry. Anything 11-16-11 5 1 else to come before the Court this morning? 2 COMMISSIONER OEHLER: Kerr County kind of shot out 3 of the water on what the result was statewide. 4 COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: That's what I was wondering. 5 How does this compare with statewide? Does anybody know? 6 COMMISSIONER OEHLER: There was several didn't 7 pass. 8 COMMISSIONER OVERBY: Majority of them passed. 9 COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: Majority of them passed 10 statewide? 11 COMMISSIONER OVERBY: Yeah. 12 COMMISSIONER OEHLER: Yeah. I think there was -- 13 if I'm not mistaken, there were four that did not pass. 14 COMMISSIONER BALDWIN: I'll be darned. 15 COMMISSIONER OEHLER: I know three for sure. 16 COMMISSIONER OVERBY: There was 11 statewide voted 17 on, wasn't there? 18 JUDGE TINLEY: Ten. 19 MS. ALFORD: Ten. 20 COMMISSIONER OVERBY: There was 10. 21 JUDGE TINLEY: What was the statewide vote? How 22 many -- how many passed? How many -- 23 MS. ALFORD: I don't know. 24 JUDGE TINLEY: Do we expect the election people to 25 know this? 11-16-11 6 1 COMMISSIONER OEHLER: You'd think they'd come in 2 here and want us to ratify that too or something. 3 JUDGE TINLEY: Okay.
