It's Monday, April the 8 6th, 2015. It's 9 a.m. The Commissioners Court of Kerr 9 County is in session, and Mr. Moser is up this morning. 10 COMMISSIONER MOSER: If you'd please stand and pray 11 with me. 12 (Prayer and pledge of allegiance.) 13 JUDGE POLLARD: Okay. The -- both items, 1.1 and 14 1.2, I think we need to go into closed session, and so 15 pursuant to Section 551.072, 551.073, 551.071, and 551.078, 16 or .785, and 551.076, 551.087 of Chapter 551 of the Texas 17 Government Code, we are going into closed session at this 18 time. And, I'm sorry, you're going to have to leave the 19 courtroom, sir. And I think y'all need to stay. 20 MS. BAILEY: I'm just going to change the sign. 21 JUDGE POLLARD: I think the County Clerk needs to 22 stay too, and the County Attorney and the Auditor. 23 (The open session was closed at 9:03 a.m., and an executive session was held, the transcript of which 24 is contained in a separate document.) 25 - - - - - - - - - - 4-6-15 4 1 JUDGE POLLARD: Okay. There's no action to be 2 taken, as I understand it, on 1.1. On Item 1.2; consider, 3 discuss, and take appropriate action to hire an independent 4 auditor to perform agreed upon procedures for the County 5 Clerk's office -- that's 1.2. Is there a motion? 6 COMMISSIONER LETZ: I'll make a motion that we 7 authorize the County Judge, County Clerk, and County 8 Treasurer to interview prospective individuals and/or firms 9 to do the bookkeeping work to balance some funds out of the 10 County Clerk's office, and to prepare written procedures on a 11 moving-forward basis, and hopefully come back to 12 Commissioners Court at our next meeting with a recommendation 13 of who that individuals or firm should be. 14 MS. BAILEY: You should probably add to your 15 motion, "and reconcile." I think you said bookkeeping, 16 but -- 17 COMMISSIONER LETZ: And reconcile those funds. 18 COMMISSIONER MOSER: I'll second. 19 JUDGE POLLARD: All right. It's been moved and 20 seconded that we -- myself, the County Clerk, and the County 21 Treasurer contact firms -- C.P.A. firms to try to find 22 somebody to do the required reconciliations and write the 23 procedures. And is there any further discussion? There 24 being none, those in favor of the motion, signify by raising 25 your right hand. 4-6-15 5 1 (The motion carried by unanimous vote, 4-0.) 2 JUDGE POLLARD: It's 4-0, unanimous. All right, I 3 think that's all there is for this session. This session is 4 closed. 5 (Commissioners Court adjourned at 10:18 a.m.) 6 - - - - - - - - - - 7 8 9 10 STATE OF TEXAS | 11 COUNTY OF KERR | 12 The above and foregoing is a true and complete 13 transcription of my stenotype notes taken in my capacity as 14 official reporter for the Commissioners Court of Kerr County, 15 Texas, at the time and place heretofore set forth. 16 DATED at Kerrville, Texas, this 6th day of April, 2015. 17 18 REBECCA BOLIN, Kerr County Clerk 19 BY: _________________________________ Kathy Banik, Deputy County Clerk 20 Certified Shorthand Reporter 21 22 23 24 25 4-6-15
