This 5 request is from Lucy Wilke, and she's otherwise in Court 6 today or something and cannot be here, but she asked for 7 approval of this, and also asked -- and I'll call 1.6 at 8 the same time. It's to consider, discuss and take 9 appropriate action to allow the 216th District Attorney, 10 Lucy Wilke, to approve future Requests for Changes with 11 Kendnel Kasper for the 216th District Attorney's office 12 buildout. Request for changes will not exceed 13 $10,000.00 total without Court approval. 14 All right, and what's your desire with 15 regard to item 1.5 on the agenda? 16 COMMISSIONER MOSER: The question is what 17 are the change orders? If we adopt 1.6, we're saying 18 1.5 is okay as long as it doesn't exceed $10,000.00. 19 JUDGE POLLARD: I don't think y'all have it. 20 COMMISSIONER MOSER: Yeah, I didn't have it. 21 JUDGE POLLARD: Yeah, I think it's in here. 22 MRS. GRINSTEAD: There are three change 23 orders that she's asked to be approved in 1.5. They've 24 kind of held up the job until those are getting 25 approved. So those are change orders 1, 2, and 3. It's 4 1 on the L-Drive, but the Judge has it also. And then 2 they're asking in 1.6 from now on if she can approve 3 them versus us waiting for a special Court meeting. 4 COMMISSIONER MOSER: Yeah. My question's on 5 1.5 since that's the first order of business. 6 COMMISSIONER MOSER: Add electrical -- move 7 a push button to the -- all kind of -- 8 COMMISSIONER BELEW: Minutiae. 9 JUDGE POLLARD: You want to speak on behalf 10 of your wife? 11 CONSTABLE WILKE: The Sheriff? 12 JUDGE POLLARD: No; your wife. 13 CONSTABLE WILKE: No. 14 COMMISSIONER MOSER: Move for approval of 15 the change orders submitted by the 216th District 16 Attorney for the -- 17 JUDGE POLLARD: For approval of the item 18 1.5. 19 COMMISSIONER MOSER: And for approval of -- 20 authorizing approval by the District Attorney's office 21 216th District for changes not to exceed $10,000.00 22 without Court approval. 23 MRS. GRINSTEAD: Can we just -- to keep it 24 more clear, can we -- 25 COMMISSIONER MOSER: Do each one of them? 5 1 MRS. GRINSTEAD: Yeah. Can we do 1.5 and 2 have -- 3 JUDGE POLLARD: All right, as to 1.5 4 consider, discuss and take appropriate action to approve 5 request for change orders received from Kendnel Kasper 6 for the 216th District Attorney's office for the 7 buildout in the D.A.'s office. As to that item, is 8 there a motion to approve it? 9 COMMISSIONER MOSER: I move -- 10 COMMISSIONER BELEW: I'll make the motion. 11 JUDGE POLLARD: All right, and you second? 12 COMMISSIONER MOSER: I'll second that. 13 JUDGE POLLARD: All right, moved by 14 Commissioner Precinct 1 to approve item 1.5, and 15 Commissioner Precinct 2 seconded that motion. If 16 there's no further discussion or comment, those in favor 17 of the motion signify by raising their right hands. 18 It's three zero, unanimous. 19 And 1.6 is the one to authorize and allow 20 the 216th District attorney Lucy Wilke to approve future 21 requests for changes with Kendnel Kasper for the 216th 22 District Attorney's office buildout, so long as the 23 request for changes amount does not exceed $10,000.00 in 24 total without Court approval. All right, is there a 25 motion? 6 1 COMMISSIONER BELEW: I have a question about 2 it. 3 JUDGE POLLARD: Sure. 4 COMMISSIONER BELEW: The question is is that 5 per work change order up to $10,000.00, or is that for 6 the remainder of the project? 7 MRS. GRINSTEAD: Everything, total. 8 JUDGE POLLARD: The total amount, if she 9 might have four change orders, but as I understand it 10 the way it was submitted so long as they don't, in the 11 aggregate, exceed $10,000.00, she has authority to 12 execute them. 13 COMMISSIONER BELEW: Okay, in the aggregate. 14 JUDGE POLLARD: If it exceeds that 15 $10,000.00 then she's gotta come to Commissioners' 16 Court. 17 COMMISSIONER BELEW: Okay. 18 JUDGE POLLARD: All right, any further 19 questions or comment? 20 COMMISSIONER MOSER: We need a motion, so I 21 move that we approve the request by the 216th District 22 Attorney for her to approve change orders in the 23 aggregate not to exceed $10,000.00 for the buildout. 24 COMMISSIONER BELEW: And I'll second. 25 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 7 1 Precinct 2, seconded by Commissioner Precinct 1 to 2 approve item 1.6, and that is granting the 216th 3 District Attorney the power to execute and approve the 4 other request for changes so long as it does not exceed 5 $10,000.00 in the aggregate. All right, is there any 6 further comment or question? If not, those in favor of 7 the motion signify by raising their right hands. It's 8 three zero, unanimous. 9 Is there any other business?
