It's about one minute after 9 a.m. The 3 Kerr County Commissioners' Court is in session. This is 4 a pay the bills day thanks to our Texas Attorney 5 General. 6 We're going to get right to it. Item 1.1 is 7 pay the bills. Mrs. Auditor. 8 MRS. DOSS: Yes. We have the total County 9 packet is for $2,524,887.77, and then we also have a 10 packet for approval for disbursement for adult 11 probation, juvenile probation, 216th forfeiture, 198th 12 forfeiture, and then TDA grant. 13 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Move to pay the bills 14 as presented by the County Auditor. 15 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Second. 16 JUDGE POLLARD: It's been moved by 17 Commissioner Precinct 4, seconded by Commissioner 18 Precinct 3 to pay the bills as submitted in the agenda 19 package pursuant to item 1.1 of the agenda. Any further 20 discussion or question? There being none, those in 21 favor signify by raising their right hands. It's four 22 zero. Mr. Moser just walked in. Four zero, unanimous. 23 1.2 budget amendments. Mrs. Auditor. 24 MRS. DOSS: Yes. We have 5 budget 25 amendments. The first one is to set up the budget for 4 1 the expenditure of the proceeds from the sale of the 2 property, and we are setting up the budget to be 3 expended in the parks fund. 4 Number 2 is line item transfers in the 5 County Court at Law Department. 6 Number 3 is a transfer for group insurance 7 out of payroll contingency. 8 Number 4 are line item transfers in the J.P. 9 technology expense for reclassifying some of those 10 expense line items. 11 And number 5 are line item transfers in the 12 Juvenile Detention Department. 13 COMMISSIONER REEVES: What happened on the 14 utilities on our budget on that? I mean it looks like 15 we still got three months or so. 16 MRS. DOSS: Yes. 17 COMMISSIONER REEVES: What happened? 18 MRS. DOSS: It was just under budgeted. 19 They were just over this year. 20 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Was it -- was some of 21 the -- I know a lot more of the utilities were ran 22 because of the jail was being there. Did we pay any of 23 the utilities for the temporary housing of prisoners 24 there out of another line item? 25 MRS. DOSS: No. I think it was all out of 5 1 this line item, so that's probably what a lot of it was. 2 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Okay. 3 COMMISSIONER LETZ: I move we approve the 4 budget amendments. 5 COMMISSIONER MOSER: Second. 6 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 7 Precinct 3 to pay the budget amendments as submitted in 8 the agenda package in item 1.2, it was seconded by 9 Commissioner Precinct 2. Is there any further comment 10 or discussion? 11 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Other than can we look 12 and see if we can figure a way to pay the general fund 13 back out of the bond for the housing of those prisoners? 14 MRS. DOSS: Yes, I'll see. I'll check into 15 that just to make sure. 16 COMMISSIONER REEVES: I mean if we can 17 recoup some in our revenue, why not. 18 JUDGE POLLARD: All right. If there's no 19 further question or comment those in favor of the motion 20 signify by raising are your right hands. It's four 21 zero, unanimous. 22 1.3 late bills. 23 MRS. DOSS: Yes. We have four late bills. 24 Two were to United Healthcare for retiree medical and 25 retiree prescriptions, and two were to Hill Country 6 1 Telephone. 2 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Move for approval. 3 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Second. 4 JUDGE POLLARD: It's been moved by 5 Commissioner Precinct 3 to pay the -- approve the late 6 bills and to pay them as submitted in item 1.3 of the 7 agenda package, seconded by Commissioner Precinct 4. DOSS: Yes. Total payroll expenditures 13 are $517,580.79. 14 COMMISSIONER MOSER: Move we pay the 15 payroll. 16 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Second. 17 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 18 Precinct 2 to pay the payroll as submitted in the agenda 19 package, agenda number 1.4, seconded by Commissioner 20 Precinct 4.
