It's now about 9:01 a.m., and the Kerr 3 County Commissioners' Court is in session. This is a 4 "pay the bills" day for Commissioners' Court; not a 5 regular agenda, so we'll get right to the first item on 6 the agenda and that's 1.1 pay the bills. 7 COMMISSIONER REEVES: The Treasurer went to 8 get the Auditor. 9 JUDGE POLLARD: Well, we'll hold up until 10 the Auditor gets here. 11 (Auditor present.) 12 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Since the Auditor's 13 here, Judge, I move to pay the bills. 14 COMMISSIONER REEVES: I'll second. 15 JUDGE POLLARD: All right. It's been moved 16 by Commissioner Precinct 3, seconded by Commissioner 17 Precinct 4 to pay the bills as submitted in the agenda 18 package by the County Auditor. Is there any further 19 comment or discussion? 20 COMMISSIONER REEVES: I assume your motion 21 included the Treasurer's disbursements. 22 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Yes, Sir. 23 COMMISSIONER REEVES: I second that, too. 24 JUDGE POLLARD: All right. Then that was 25 the motion then as amended then. Any further comment or 4 1 discussion? There being none, those in favor signify by 2 raising your right hand. It's four zero, unanimous. 3 Let the record reflect that Commissioner 4 Precinct 2 is not here, but he's close, just across the 5 street, I understand, at a dedication of a James Avery 6 matter. 7 All right, item 1.2 budget amendments. 8 MRS. DOSS: Yes, we have three budget 9 amendments. The first one is to move budget to autopsy 10 and inquest because we didn't have enough in that line 11 item. And then there are inter -- or line item 12 transfers in the Constable 2 Department, and the County 13 Attorney's Department. 14 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Just a question, not 15 that it affects approving these amendments, had we 16 previously taken any money out of autopsy and inquest, 17 or just had that many more? 18 MRS. DOSS: Just had that many more this 19 year. Autopsy expenses have gone up. 20 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Okay. 21 COMMISSIONER LETZ: I have a -- I think I 22 can talk about this, a general question on budget 23 amendments. 24 MRS. DOSS: Okay. 25 COMMISSIONER LETZ: I recall getting an 5 1 email from one of our D.A.'s about wanting to make some 2 changes in her budget. Is it easier to do a change like 3 that, it doesn't change the dollars I don't think, as a 4 budget amendment after the budget's approved rather than 5 making a change in the budget at this point, or is it 6 easier to make changes at this point? 7 MRS. DOSS: It will probably be easier to 8 make changes at this point so we could get it right 9 going forward. 10 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Okay. 11 MRS. DOSS: Is a lot of changes? 12 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Oh, you didn't get a 13 copy of it? 14 MRS. DOSS: Was that for the -- 15 COMMISSIONER LETZ: 216th. 16 MRS. DOSS: Oh, yes, I got a copy of that. 17 It was related to an employee. 18 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Yeah. She moved from 19 one employee to another employee. 20 MRS. DOSS: And I'm updating my schedule so 21 it didn't change any dollar amount. 22 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Okay. I just kind of 23 wanted to bring that up. 24 MRS. DOSS: Yeah. We went ahead and I 25 updated the schedules when I got the letter and 6 1 everything. 2 JUDGE POLLARD: Any further questions or 3 comments? 4 COMMISSIONER REEVES: I make a motion to 5 approve the budget amendments as submitted. 6 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Second. 7 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 8 Precinct 4, second by Commissioner Precinct 3 to approve 9 and authorize the budget amendments as adjustment 10 requests as submitted in the agenda package by the 11 County Auditors. Is there any further comment or 12 discussion? There being none, those in favor signify by 13 raising your right hand. It's four zero, unanimous. 14 Item 1.3 late bills. 15 MRS. DOSS: Yes, we have 1, 2, 3, 4 -- 7 16 late bills. These were just turned into my office late 17 after we had a regular packet, so we made them into the 18 late bill packet. 19 COMMISSIONER BELEW: I move that we pay the 20 late bills. 21 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Second. 22 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 23 Precinct 1, seconded by Commissioner Precinct 3 to pay 24 the late pills as submitted in the agenda package, that 25 being item 1.3 on the agenda. Any further comment or 7 1 questions or discussion? 2 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Yes. Question on the 3 late bills that went to Allstate and Boston Mutual, 4 Fidelity, and Net Life, are those payroll deductions on 5 elections employees, or why are we paying all those 6 different insurance companies? 7 MRS. DOSS: Yes. Those are payroll 8 deductions. 9 JUDGE POLLARD: All right, any further 10 questions or comment? Then those in favor of the motion 11 signify by raising your right hand.
