It's about 9 a.m. The Kerr 3 County Commissioners' Court is in a Special -- what we 4 call bill pay session, thanks to our Attorney General's 5 opinion. We'll get right to it. 6 Item 1.1 is pay the bills. 7 MRS. DOSS: Yes. You have a printout of the 8 bills. The first packet is for Kerr County. The total 9 is $850,870.83. The next two packets are for approval 10 of disbursement only. Adult Probation totals $2,758.19, 11 and the Airport Board $2,915.80. 12 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Make a motion to 13 approve the payment of the bills and disbursements of 14 the Treasurer's Office as outlined by the County 15 Auditor. 16 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Second. 17 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 18 Precinct 4, seconded by Commissioner Precinct 3 to pay 19 the bills as included in the agenda package, and 20 recommended by the County Auditor, and to authorize 21 disbursement of funds as indicated by the County 22 Treasurer. Is there any further comment or discussion? 23 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Quick question, and you 24 may or may not know. It's not that critical. But under 25 autopsy inquest, why do the prices vary so much? 4 1 MRS. DOSS: Because some of it's travel. We 2 have to pay the funeral home to transport them. 3 COMMISSIONER LETZ: And the Medical Examiner 4 fees have gone up to 29 hundred dollars. 5 MRS. DOSS: Yes, Sir. 6 COMMISSIONER LETZ: I remember, I think, 7 when I started it was like a thousand. But a long time 8 ago. 9 JUDGE POLLARD: Yeah, but you started back a 10 long time ago. 11 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Where they travel by 12 horseback then? 13 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Yeah, travel by 14 horseback. 15 JUDGE POLLARD: All right, any further 16 questions? If not, those in favor of the motion signify 17 by raising your right hand. It's three zero, unanimous. 18 By the way, let the record reflect that 19 Commissioners Precinct 1 and 2 are absent today, but we 20 do have a quorum with the presence of Commissioners of 21 Precinct 3 and 4, and the County Judge. 22 All right, item 1.2. Budget amendments? 23 MRS. DOSS: Yes, we have 13 budget 24 amendments. We're getting toward the end of the year, 25 so we have quite a few transfers -- budget transfers in 5 1 each department. 2 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Just one question on 3 item number 12, and the only reason I ask this, we 4 generally know what the KCAD contract is? 5 MRS. DOSS: Yes. 6 COMMISSIONER REEVES: What, did we come up 7 short or -- 8 MRS. DOSS: I don't know why we did. 9 COMMISSIONER REEVES: -- you don't know? 10 MRS. DOSS: I don't know why we came up 11 short. 12 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Because they didn't 13 amend it or something, did -- 14 MRS. DOSS: No. Not that I know of, no. 15 JUDGE POLLARD: Any other questions? If 16 not, those in favor of the motion -- is there a motion? 17 COMMISSIONER LETZ: I make a motion to 18 approve budget amendments as presented. 19 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Second. 20 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 21 Precinct 3 to approve the budget amendments as submitted 22 in the agenda package. This is for the rental 5 of the exercise equipment for the jail. 6 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Move for approval. 7 COMMISSIONER REEVES: Second. 8 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 9 Precinct 3, seconded by Commissioner Precinct 4 to 10 approve the late bills -- thee late bill as presented in 11 the item 1.3 of the agenda package. Is there any 12 further comment or discussion? There being none, those 13 in favor signify by raising your right hands. It's 14 three zero, unanimous. 15 1.4 approve payroll? 16 MRS. DOSS: Yes. Total payroll, which will 17 be disbursed tomorrow is $745,362.72. 18 COMMISSIONER REEVES: I make motion to 19 approve the payroll as presented. 20 COMMISSIONER LETZ: Second. 21 JUDGE POLLARD: Been moved by Commissioner 22 Precinct 4 to approve the payroll and authorize the 23 payroll distribution in accordance with item 1.4 of the 24 agenda package.
