            1               JUDGE KELLY:  Court will come to order.

            2   This is Wednesday, August the 16th, 2023, two o'clock in

            3   the afternoon, and the Kerrville Commissioners' Court is

            4   now in session for a Special Commissioners' Court

            5   meeting.

            6               So on the consideration agenda we have is

            7   1.1 consider, discuss and take appropriate action to

            8   approve payment of the Director's and Officer's

            9   insurance for the Kerr County Bail Bond Board.  Miss

           10   Soldan.

           11               MRS. SOLDAN:  Yes, Sir.  This is a renewal

           12   of the policy that you approved last year, but it's not

           13   an automatic renewal.  Because of the way it's billed

           14   through Garrett Insurance, we had to reapply.  So I was

           15   advised to ask you for approval.  And it's due August

           16   25th, which is before the next regular Commissioners'

           17   Court meeting.

           18               COMMISSIONER LETZ:  But the amount's

           19   budgeted, right?

           20               MRS. SOLDAN:  Yes.  Sorry.  And it's the

           21   same as last year.

           22               COMMISSIONER LETZ:  I move for approval.

           23               COMMISSIONER HARRIS:  Second.

           24               COMMISSIONER BELEW:  Second.

           25               JUDGE KELLY:  We got a motion and a second

            1   to approve payment of the Director's and Officer's

            2   insurance for Kerr County bail bond board.

            3               And for those of you that are unfamiliar

            4   with Director's and Officer's liability insurance, if

            5   you are on a board, get it.  Buy it, it's cheap, it's

            6   important.  Just telling you.

            7               MRS. SOLDAN:  Cheaper than a lawsuit.

            8               JUDGE KELLY:  It is.  Tell us about it.

            9               COMMISSIONER PACES:  Tracy, my only question

           10   is how much is it?

           11               MRS. SOLDAN:  $4,197.00.

           12               COMMISSIONER PACES:  Sold.

           13               JUDGE KELLY:  Okay.  That's all we had on

           14   the --

           15               MRS. DOWDY:  We'll need a vote.

           16               COMMISSIONER LETZ:  We need to vote.

           17               JUDGE KELLY:  Oh, yeah.  Those in favor say

           18   aye.  Opposed?  There are none.  Motion carries.  Good.
