NOTICE - new voting equipment for 2007

Under 2002's Help America Vote Act, HAVA, elections nationwide will be required by law to utilize electronic voting by January of 2006. Kerr County purchased the eSlate and eScan machines, which are manufactured by Hart Intercivic, an Austin-based company. eSlate, the electronic voting system and eScan, the paper ballot scanning equipment will be provided at each location. The equipment was purchased by the County Clerk via a HAVA grant from the state.

The equipment may be previewed on the Internet at: Hart Intercivic's site.

Located Kerr County Courthouse, 700 Main Street, Kerrville, Texas in the Tax Assessor's office.

Voting by Mail
Get the application to Vote by Mail from the secretary of state here , print and fill it out. Mail the form to the Kerr County Clerk at:

Early Voting

Early voting for all elections is by absentee mail-in ballot or in person at Kerr County Courthouse, 700 Main Street, Kerrville, Texas 78028

 

Voting on election day (these are not used for every election)

On election day you vote in your precinct polling place. Review your voter registration card for the precinct number and refer to newspaper announcements and this site for the locations.
